Using the Home Page to Navigate
The Home Page is the first page that you see when you open our site. We’ve designed the Home Page so that you can quickly find the most important content on our website by simply scrolling down the page until you find what you need. The three major content divisions of our website (Partner, Grow, and Engage) are listed below the title image as you scroll down and contain explanations and links to related content. Read these explanations to understand how our site is organized. Next, excerpts and links to the three most recent blog posts are displayed in the following section with a button that will take you to older posts. In the section below this are videos about our ministry and field. Finally, an About section gives a brief explanation of who we are and who are the organizations with which we are connected.
Using the Header Bar and Menu
The header bar and footer section appear with every page on our website. These elements provide you with a consistent means to find and move to content quickly. You can return to the Home Page from anywhere by clicking on the East Is East logo found at the upper left of the screen as you scroll up. The right side of the header bar displays a menu listing the three content divisions of our website (Partner, Grow, and Engage). (If you are browsing our site from your phone, then the menu icon looks like three short horizontal bars at the top right of the screen.) Using your mouse (or your finger) to select one of these menu items will drop down additional menu items linking to particular pages which are related to that subject.
Using the Search Feature
You can look for a particular word found anywhere on our website by searching for it. Select the icon that looks like a magnifying glass (located to the right of the menu on the header bar). Type your search word into the search bar to display a list of posts and pages containing that search word. Select the linked item you are looking for from the list of posts and pages.
Using the Page Footer
By scrolling to the very bottom of any page on the site, you will discover a footer section that contains more ways to find specific types of content. Find blog posts organized by the month in which they were published, by post category, or by post tag (topic); a “Site Map” contains a list of every page on our website. Find links to “Send Us a Message” or to “Subscribe to Our Prayer Letter.”
